What we collect — and only this

• Account: your name, and your email or phone number. With Google sign-in, your Google account ID and email.
• Your settings: home area and radius, filters, costs, saved cars, inspections and alert preferences.
• Security logs: IP address and sign-in times, used to stop abuse and rate-limit sign-ins.

We don't collect your exact location. If you tap "Use my location", your browser's coordinates are used once to pick the nearest market and are not stored. We don't ask for your birthday, address, or payment card (when billing goes live, card details go straight to the payment processor, never to us).

How we use it

To sign you in, show your feed, send the alerts you turned on, and keep the service secure. Phone numbers are used only for sign-in codes and, if you opt in, deal-alert texts — never for marketing without separate consent.

No ads, no tracking

We don't run advertising, analytics or tracking pixels, and we don't sell or share your personal information for advertising. See the Cookie Policy.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run FlipCarsAI, and only what each needs:

• Twilio — delivers sign-in codes and alert texts.
• Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.
• Our AI provider — reads public listing text and photos to grade cars. Your personal details are never sent.
• Hosting and, once live, our payment processor.

Listing photos load directly from the marketplace that hosts them (for example Facebook or KSL), so your browser contacts those sites when you view a car. We don't embed their scripts, buttons or trackers. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Passwords and sessions

Passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes, never in plain text. Session cookies are HTTP-only. You can sign out every other device from your account page.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted within 30 days of you asking us to close it. Security logs are kept for up to 90 days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything saved with it. Email [email protected] from the email or phone on your account. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

Children

FlipCarsAI is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
